Executive Director - nikki porter

Nikki Porter is a seasoned marketing professional and passionate advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Alabama State University, where she served as a Stingette captain and was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta National Sorority, Tau Beta Sigma Band Sorority, and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Fraternity, Nikki's roots in the HBCU community run deep.

Her corporate experience includes leadership roles at Amazon.com and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she honed her skills in strategic marketing, brand management, and corporate communications. Nikki's expertise in these areas has been instrumental in driving growth and enhancing brand visibility for these global companies.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nikki is deeply committed to giving back to the HBCU community. As the President of the J. McCall Foundation, she oversees the provision of financial scholarships to HBCU drum majors each year, in memory of James E. McCall, a former ASU drum major who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative reflects her dedication to supporting the next generation of HBCU leaders and preserving the legacy of excellence in HBCU marching bands.

Nikki's personal connection to the HBCU community, combined with her extensive corporate experience and marketing expertise, fuels her drive to bring back The Gulf Coast CLASSIC to Mobile, AL.
