The HBCU Dance and Wellness Clinic is a vibrant new initiative that is part of the Gulf Coast Classic festivities! Our clinic is dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of young women through the powerful mediums of dance and wellness education. Open to middle and high school girls, this unique program offers not only a platform to learn and grow but also an extraordinary opportunity to shine in the spotlight.
In a first for the region, Classic Week will feature an inaugural HBCU dance clinic, hosted by leaders and captains of various popular HBCU dance teams. Attendees will develop their skills in various dance styles that are celebrated during HBCU game days, including majorette, parade sequences, contemporary, and stands. The culmination of this exciting journey will be a chance to perform live during the halftime show at the Gulf Coast Classic, showcasing their talents to thousands of cheering fans.
Understanding the importance of wellness in achieving personal bests, our Wellness Program focuses on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. Participants will engage in workshops and activities designed to promote healthy living, mental well-being, and personal development. Highlighting this program, participants will have the unique chance to share their own "wellness tip" during a live podcast. This segment will be hosted by a special guest, offering our young attendees a platform to educate and influence their peers and the community at large.
